An important note to parents and students: AP Studio art is a college-level course. The content and pace are very rigorous. There will be more frequent grading and critiques, and homework will be required to pass the course. In order to meet the college board standards you must be willing and able to meet the requirements set forth for the class; there will be one completed portfolio piece due every 1-2 weeks.
Students who find they cannot keep the pace of the class should consider taking a different studio course instead. We have many options in drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and photography that are available.
AP Studio Art does have a $50 course fee and has additional portfolio costs that are due before October 14th, 2022. AP students also have a specific supply list for the course and have to pay their AP portfolio fees as well.
